They Called Him
the Black Sheep
A story of fierce courage, defiant strength,
and the transformative power of standing apart.
Dedication
This book is dedicated to the brave people of Iran.
To every person — shopkeeper, student, worker, mother, child — who took to the streets and chose courage over silence. To the thousands we lost in the massacres of the Crimson Winter. To those who survived and kept going.
You are not the black sheep.
You were always the ones leading the way.
They called him the black sheep, the restless one, the one who wandered, who questioned, who stood alone. But he was never lost. He was the first to find the way.

About the Book
This book explores the fierce courage, defiant strength, and transformative power that lies within those who dare to stand apart.
A tribute to every soul who has bravely questioned, healed, and paved new paths — especially the people of Iran who rose up in the winter of 2025, from bazaars to universities to city streets across more than a hundred cities, with nothing but their truth and their courage.
To the thousands we lost. To those still detained. To the ones still standing. This book belongs to you.
In Memory — The Crimson Winter
In December 2025, the people of Iran rose again — and this time, it was everyone.
Shopkeepers who shuttered their doors and took to the streets. Students who marched through tear gas. Workers, teachers, pensioners, mothers, fathers, children. People from over a hundred cities across every province. The largest uprising since the 1979 revolution.
The regime responded with massacres. Thousands were killed. Tens of thousands were detained. The internet was shut down. Hospitals were overrun. The world called it The Crimson Winter.
But they did not break.
