A Safe Space for Personal Growth & Healing

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

What Is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy — also known as talk therapy or psychotherapy — is a collaborative process between you and a trained therapist. It provides a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with the guidance of a professional who truly listens.

Whether you're navigating a life transition, processing past experiences, managing anxiety or depression, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, individual therapy offers a pathway to meaningful and lasting change.

How Does Individual Therapy Work?

In individual therapy sessions, you and your therapist work together to identify patterns, understand underlying issues, and develop practical strategies for growth. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and occur weekly, allowing for consistent progress and deepening self-awareness.

At Pathways with Saloomeh, every therapeutic experience is deeply personal. Drawing on evidence-based approaches — including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and the SAZ Method — Saloomeh creates a nurturing environment tailored to your unique narrative and goals.

What to Expect in Your First Session

Your first session is an opportunity to share what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. There is no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with — the pace is always yours.

Together, you and Saloomeh will explore your goals, discuss what therapy might look like for you, and begin charting a path toward the life you envision.

"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."
